Orbital Recruitment are working with a Derbyshire-based engineering manufacturer seeking two skilled Vehicle Fitters to join a dedicated team. The role focuses on high-standard fitting, modification, and finishing work on vehicles and specialist equipment, emphasizing pride in workmanship and long-term stability.

You will work within a fabrication and welding environment, performing quality-focused tasks with attention to detail and safe work practices.

Orbital Recruitment are working in partnership with a high-quality engineering manufacturer in Derbyshire who are looking to add two skilled Vehicle Fitters to their team.

This role is ideal for individuals who take real pride in their workmanship, and are looking for long-term, stable work with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled fabrication and welding team, you will be responsible for carrying out high-standard fitting, modification, and finishing work on vehicles and specialist equipment. Quality is key in this role — attention to detail and a methodical approach are essential.

Duties will include:

• Inspecting vehicles and components to ensure work meets required quality standards


• Carrying out fitting, modification, and repair work on vehicle structures and assemblies


• Cutting, grinding, sealing, and finishing components to a high standard


• Using hand and power tools (including drills and grinders) safely and accurately


• Supporting fabrication and welding teams to ensure consistency and reliability


• Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a clean, safe workspace

Hours & Benefits

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 16:00 (39 hours per week)
