Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is recruiting for a Vehicle Fitter / Vehicle Technician based in Matlock, Derbyshire. You will join a busy workshop environment, inspecting, servicing and repairing a range of vehicles and site equipment to keep operations running with minimal downtime.

The role focuses on maintenance of front loaders, forklift trucks and other plant machinery, with a stable Monday–Friday early shift (6:00am–2:00pm) and an established benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role as Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, or Plant Technician.
• Hands-on experience with reactive repairs and planned servicing in a workshop.
• Commitment to safety and following all H&S/environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair a range of vehicles and site equipment to keep them safe and available onsite.
• Maintain and repair front loaders, forklift trucks and other plant machinery.

Job Title: Vehicle Fitter (Vehicle Technician)

Location: Matlock, Derbyshire

Salary: £44,000 (OTE £50,000+)

Shift: Monday - Friday (Early Shift) 6:00am - 2:00pm

Job Role of the Vehicle Fitter

A great opportunity has become available for a Vehicle Fitter / Vehicle Technician to join a busy industrial site, working as part of a team within a well-equipped workshop environment.

You will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing a range of vehicles and site equipment to ensure they are safe, reliable and ready to return to operation with minimal downtime.

This role will involve maintenance and repair of: front loaders, forklift trucks and other plant machinery.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Vehicle Fitter

• Experience in a similar role (Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician / Plant Technician / Mechanical Fitter background considered).
• Hands-on experience carrying out reactive repairs and planned servicing/maintenance in a workshop environment.

Requirements for the Vehicle Fitter

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair ability.
• Ability to carry out routine servicing and preventative checks (including greasing and antifreeze checks).
• Able to order parts when required and maintain stock/parts levels.
• Confident keeping accurate records of repairs and servicing.
• Committed to working safely and following all H&S / environmental procedures.
