Job summary

Rocket Staffing is recruiting experienced Vehicle Delivery Drivers to join a leading automotive business based in Thurleigh. You will be responsible for safely moving vehicles, using handheld scanners, performing basic inspections, and maintaining high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• Confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles
• Minimum of 2 years' driving experience in a similar role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

• Safely move and manoeuvre vehicles throughout the site.
• Use handheld device (HHD) scanners to track, locate, and manage vehicle movements (full training provided).
• Carry out basic vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues to the Line Manager.
• Ensure all vehicles are parked and stored in line with customer requirements and site procedures.
• Conduct vehicle damage checks before movement and report any findings promptly.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself and colleagues.
• Drive responsibly at all times and adhere to all site speed limits and regulations.
• Support wider yard operations and undertake additional duties as required.

Pay & Benefits

• Standard Rate: £12.71 per hour (Enhanced overtime rates payable after 12 weeks)
• Overtime Rate: £19.06 per hour (after 40 hours worked)
• Saturday Rate: £19.06 per hour
• Sunday Rate: £25.42 per hour

Working Hours

• Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: 07:30 - 16:00
