Job summary

First Call Contract Services, Ltd. is seeking Yard Driver Operatives for a nationally recognised car auction company. The role is based at the Thurleigh airfield near Bedford, involves moving cars on client premises and occasional customer interaction.

Shifts are days, 40 hours per week, with weekly pay. A UK driving license is essential, with no more than 6 penalty points. Permanent, long-term employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK driver’s license.
• No more than 6 points on your license.
• Be prepared to work 40 hours per week across 5 days.

Responsibilities

• Drive parked cars from A to Z locations on client premises.
• Move sold cars into designated bays.
• Interact with customers when required.
• Walk to retrieve vehicles as needed.
• Location holds approximately 10,000 cars.
• Required to work in all weather conditions.
• Maintain clean casual workwear.

Yard Driver Operatives- Thurleigh

We have an amazing opportunity to work for a nationally recognised Car Auction company, considered to be the leader in its field.

No road driving, moving automatic and manual cars and vans on our clients premises.

The role of of the Yard Driver is based on the airdrome in Thurghleigh near Bedford.

Shifts for Yard Driving Operative – DAYS:

• Day shift between 07.30.00pm to 16.00pm 5 days in 7
• Standard 8 hours per day
• 40hrs per week
• You must hold a UK drivers license.
• You must have no more than 6 points on your license.

Pay:

• £12.91 5 in 7 days
• Overtime pay at weekends
• Paid weekly

Main Duties of Yard Driving Operative:

• Driving parked cars from A-Z locations
• Driving sold cars into chosen bays
• Customer facing at times
• Walking to retrieve the car required
• The location holds approx.10,000 cars
• Required to work in all weather
• Required to work in clean casual wear
