Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or time-served equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience as an Auto Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, or Mechanic with fault isolation and heavy repairs.
• Active DVSA MOT Smart Card is a bonus but not mandatory.
• Methodical problem-solver committed to right-first-time fixes and high craftsmanship.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute deep-level electrical and mechanical diagnostics across multi-brand vehicle electronics and CAN-bus networks.
• Perform major mechanical repairs including timing chains/belts, gearbox overhauls, clutch builds, and head gasket repairs.
• Conduct routine manufacturer-level servicing, Vehicle Health Checks (VHC), and pre-MOT safety assessments.
• Record precise technical findings on digital job cards and communicate repair paths clearly with service advisors.
• Maintain pristine working bays, adhere to tool care protocols, and uphold safety standards.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background).
• Technical Experience: Strong hands-on experience as an Auto Technician, Diagnostic Specialist, or Mechanic with high confidence in complex fault isolation and heavy repairs.
• MOT Licence: Active DVSA MOT Smart Card is a major bonus (higher basic salary available), but not mandatory to apply.
• Mindset: Methodical problem-solver committed to 'right-first-time' fixes and high craftsmanship.
• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Required).
