Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Cheltenham is seeking a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator to support a busy bodyshop with accurate, profitable estimates. The role offers a negotiable starting salary based on experience, plus a time-saved bonus scheme and a Monday-to-Friday 42.5-hour working week with flexible start and finish times.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating vehicle damage and repairing estimates.
• Audatex training or qualification preferred.
• ATA accreditation and Autoflow experience advantageous.
• Opportunities for career progression in automotive bodyshops.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate manual and computerised estimates in line with insurer and customer requirements.
• Inspect vehicle damage and determine the work required for efficient, profitable repairs.
• Maintain records of all estimates and identify work needing authorisation.
• Ensure unauthorised repairs do not commence until approval is obtained.
• Follow up outstanding estimates and report delays or refusals.
• Liaise with bodyshop personnel to ensure repairs are completed as estimated.
• Communicate with the bodyshop when vehicles are deemed total losses.
• Maintain high standards of customer care, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
