Job summary

Activate Group is seeking a Vehicle Damage Assessor for our Hampton bodyshop to deliver high-quality repairs and superb customer service. You will work with the Bodyshop Manager to manage workflow, prepare repair estimates using Audatex/Escribe, and ensure targets and KPIs are met while controlling costs.

The role offers 45 hours per week, 33 days holiday, a £5,000 sign-on bonus and excellent benefits. We value experience in estimating, strong negotiation skills with third parties, and

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as an estimator.
• Ability to qualify and quantify repairs.
• Confident negotiation skills with third parties.
• Audatex trained.
• Escribe trained, with strong adherence to process.
• Ability to discuss and agree solutions to customer problems.
• Up-to-date technical knowledge and skills, including SMART repairs.
• Awareness of, and compliance with, Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the bodyshop with the Bodyshop Manager, ensuring SLAs and KPIs meet targets.
• Provide estimates for repair costs manually and via company systems.
• Plan resources and equipment within budgets and financial plans.
• Maintain workflow within the bodyshop through capacity planning.
• Adhere to the workshop loading system and meet deadlines.
• Manage daily production coordination.
• Review site KPI performance and CSI targets.
• Handle customer complaints from first contact to resolution, with root cause analysis.
• Carry out visual inspections to identify accidental damage and estimate repairs.
• Record chargeable materials on job cards for invoicing.
• Review open job cards daily and address WIP issues.
• Assist in evaluating bodywork warranty claims.
• Estimate time, materials and parts for repairs and explain to customers/insurers.
• Use modern estimating methods and adhere to Thatcham times.
• Flag issues affecting performance and safety.
