Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Cheltenham is seeking a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator to support a busy bodyshop with accurate, profitable estimates. The role offers a negotiable starting salary based on experience, plus a time-saved bonus scheme and a Monday-to-Friday 42.5-hour working week with flexible start and finish times.

Join our independent accident repair centre in Cheltenham as a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator, supporting a busy bodyshop and delivering accurate, profitable vehicle repair estimates. We are offering a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator position with a negotiable starting salary, dependent on experience, plus a time-saved bonus scheme and a Monday-to-Friday, 42.5-hour working week with flexible start and finish times.

Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• The Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator will prepare accurate manual and computerised estimates in line with insurer and customer requirements.
• Inspect vehicle damage and determine the work required to achieve an efficient and profitable repair.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates and identify work requiring additional authorisation.
• Ensure unauthorised repairs do not commence until approval has been obtained.
• Follow up outstanding estimates and report the reasons for any delays or refusals.
• Liaise with bodyshop personnel to ensure the agreed repair work is clearly understood and completed as estimated.
• Communicate with the bodyshop when vehicles are deemed total losses.
• Maintain high standards of customer care, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• We seek a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator with proven experience in vehicle estimating.
• Audatex training or qualification is preferred.
• ATA accreditation, Autoflow Bodyshop Management System experience and manufacturer training would be advantageous.
• Applications are also welcomed from experienced automotive paint or panel technicians seeking career progression.
• A full UK driving licence with minimal points is essential.
