Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a proactive Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our fast-paced accident repair centre in Sidcup. The role offers a basic salary between £40,000 and £45,000 and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm working pattern.

You will be supported by a skilled team and are expected to uphold high standards of repair techniques, with qualifications such as NVQ/ATA and Audatex familiarity valued. This position rewards experience, teamwork, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completed as Vehicle Damage Assessor and a technical qualification (NVQ/VCQ/SVQ/ATA).
• Experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor in a busy body shop with strong team skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques; ATA qualification preferred.
• Audatex certificate and related regulatory qualifications preferred.

VEHICLE DAMAGE ASSESSOR

Basic Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Damage Assessor

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction

Skills and Qualifications of a Vehicle Damage Assessor

• You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Vehicle Damage Assessor and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
• You must have previous experience working as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
• You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
• Must have previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, ideally be ATA qualified and have an up to date Audatex certificate.
