Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a capable Vehicle Damage Assessor to join a leading team in Reading. The role focuses on efficient assessment of vehicle damage within a busy body shop, ensuring repairs meet factory specifications and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised apprenticeship as a VDA, with ATA qualification and Audatex certification preferred. You will contribute to a high-standard repair process and work collaboratively with the team.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship completed with a recognised Vehicle Damage Assessor pathway.
  • Experience in a busy body shop; strong team player with drive for bonus hours.
  • Sound knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and current industry standards.
  • ATA qualification preferred; up-to-date Audatex certificate advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
  • Follow repair techniques and align output with factory specs and customer satisfaction.

VEHICLE DAMAGE ASSESSOR
Location: Reading

Talented and efficient Vehicle Damage Assessor to join this leading team.

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Damage Assessor
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
  • Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
Skills and Qualifications of a Vehicle Damage Assessor
  • You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Vehicle Damage Assessor and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
  • You must have previous experience working as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
  • You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
  • Must have previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, ideally be ATA qualified and have an up to date Audatex certificate.
