MPJ Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading vehicle engineering firm in Manchester to recruit a Vehicle Damage Assessor. You will manage motor inspections, review and audit repair estimates, and authorise repairs in a timely, cost-efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Automotive Engineer Assessor, Independent Assessor, or Bodyshop VDA.
• ATA VDA Accreditation / IMI / IAEA / AQP required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of repair methods and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review, audit and authorise repair estimates to ensure cost-effective outcomes.
• Negotiate motor vehicle settlements with customers to achieve best outcomes.
• Manage workloads in line with timescales and targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with repairers, partners and suppliers to ensure smooth claims progress.
• Audit and evaluate repairer performance; recommend improvements in quality and costs.
• Ensure all work meets KPIs and service standards.

Vehicle Damage Assessor Responsibilities:

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of motor inspections, using the latest technology to review and audit repair estimates before authorising repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing, auditing and authorising repair estimates to ensure accurate, cost-effective outcomes.

• Negotiating motor vehicle settlements where required, liaising directly with customers to achieve the best possible outcome.

• Managing workloads in line with agreed timescales, business requirements and operational targets.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with repairers, business partners and suppliers to ensure claims progress smoothly and the right engineering outcomes are achieved first time.

• Auditing and evaluating repairer performance, making recommendations on repair quality, costs and customer service.

• Ensuring all work meets agreed KPIs and SLAs while consistently upholding company values and service standards.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Engineer Assessor, Independent Assessor, or Bodyshop VDA.
• ATA VDA Accreditation / IMI / IAEA / AQP.
• Strong technical knowledge of repair methods and estimating software.
