Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor for a role in Harrogate. You will inspect accident damaged vehicles, estimate repair costs and timeframes, and liaise with insurers to keep customers updated.

• ATA qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (preferred) or proven experience in the role.
• Experience using estimating software (Audatex) required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident damaged vehicles and assess damage, repair costs and time frames.
• Ensure pricing schedules and repair methodologies are adhered to on each contract.
• Maintain workflow to meet targets.
• Use computerised estimating systems.
• Liaise with insurance/accident management companies and update customers.

The Role Vehicle Damage Assessor

• You will undertake the inspection of accident damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair and time frames.
• You will ensure our work providers menu pricing schedules and repair methodologies and key information for each contract is being adhered too on each job.
• You will work within our guidelines to ensure that the workflow volume meets targets.
• Use computerised estimating systems.
• Liaise regularly with insurance and accident management companies with any updates or queries relating to relevant jobs.
• Contact customers to provide updates

About You

• ATA qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor (preferred) OR a strong background with proven experience in the role
• Must have experience using estimating software (ideally Audatex)
• Ability to work efficiently and to a high standard in a busy workshop environment
• A great team player with a positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
