Igloo Ltd's automotive division in Long Bennington is seeking a Vehicle Compound Services Progress Chaser to help manage the smooth progression of vehicles through the PDI workflow. You will track progress, liaise with technicians, parts and management, and update systems to keep deliveries on track.

The role suits someone with automotive or workshop exposure, good organisation and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or workshop environment preferred.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Must have Full UK Driving licence and own vehicle due to site location.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor the progress of vehicles through the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) process.
• Liaise with technicians, parts departments and management to ensure timely completion of work.
• Identify delays or issues and escalate promptly.
• Update internal systems and maintain accurate job status records.
• Communicate progress updates to relevant departments or customer service teams.
• Assist in prioritising workloads to meet deadlines and targets.
• Conduct regular checks on vehicles in the workshop to ensure work is progressing as planned.
• Support efficient workflow and minimise downtime.
• Communicate with clients and provide updates on vehicle deliveries.

The Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role within the efficient running of the vehicle logistics team and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the below tasks:

• Working within the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) department to track and monitor the progress of vehicles through the repair process
• Liaise with technicians, parts departments, and management to ensure timely completion of work
• Identify delays or issues and escalated them promptly
• Update internal systems and maintain accurate job status records

The Person:

• Previous experience in an automotive or workshop environment is preferred
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach
• Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
• Basic IT skills, including emails and spreadsheets
• Must have Full UK Driving licence and own vehicle due to site location.
