Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a full UK driving licence, have access to their own transport to reach site, and Bring previous professional driving experience is advantageous. Ongoing training and a 12-week probation lead to permanent employment with a leading automotive company.

Job description

We are recruiting Vehicle Compound Drivers to join our client's newly opened site in Long Bennington, a leading UK automotive company. This role is essential in ensuring efficient vehicle movements between the compound and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely manoeuvre vehicles within the large outdoor compound and in/out of workshops.
• Park vehicles in designated bays and jump-start vehicles where necessary.
• Work with a variety of vehicles, including standard cars, high-performance models, and EVs.
• Drive manual, automatic, semi-automatic, and electric vehicles.
• Carry out pre-movement vehicle inspections, reporting any damage or issues.
• Work efficiently in all weather conditions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Confident driving different vehicle types and transmissions.
• Previous professional driving experience is an advantage.
• Full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years, with no more than 6 points for minor offences).
• Must have your own vehicle to be able to get to site.
