Job summary

Syngenta UK is seeking a Product Placement Scientist to drive late-stage product integration across vegetable crops. You will lead field trials, coordinate external trials with growers, and act as the technical expert for PLC5 to PLC6 promotions in collaboration with breeding, marketing and commercial teams.

Responsibilities include trial design, data collection and analysis, site selection, contract negotiation, and presenting results to support country-level product placement decisions.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Crop Science or related field.
• Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in plant variety trialing and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage annual trialing program for vegetable crops and area of responsibility.
• Organize external off-station trials with growers.
• Design, implement, and analyze trials to evaluate crop performance with high-quality data collection.
• Select trial locations aligned with market and customer needs and environmental factors.
• Prepare and negotiate trial contracts with growers.
• Present trials and PLC5 to PLC6 advancements during the Product Advancement Tour (PAT tour).
• Develop knowledge of regional markets and customer requirements for optimal variety placement.
