Job summary

Syngenta Seeds is seeking a Product Placement Scientist to drive late-stage product portfolio trials across vegetable crops. You will lead and manage research trials with growers, ensure high-quality data collection and analysis, and collaborate with breeding, marketing, and commercial teams to inform PLC6 promotions.

The role requires a PhD or MSc in Crop Science or related field, fluent English, strong trial design and data interpretation skills, and willingness to travel up to 40–50% within

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Crop Science or related field with 2–3 years experience.
• Fluency in English and local language; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in plant variety trialing, field trial design, and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of plant breeding and seed business; crop management and agronomy.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Plan annual trialing plan for respective crop areas.
• Organize external trials with growers per trial protocols.
• Design, implement and analyze trials to evaluate crop performance and collect high-quality data.
• Select and optimize trial locations aligned with markets and customers.
• Present trials and PLC6 candidates to stakeholders and support product placement decisions.
