Job summary

Elsoms Seeds Ltd in Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK, is seeking an Agricultural Field Trials Officer to coordinate and deliver field trials across crop species. You will plan activities from establishment to harvest, ensuring safety and high data quality, while working with breeders, agronomists and the commercial team.

The role combines planning, agronomy, data collection and operational management, with travel between trial locations and potential adoption of new technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent in Agriculture or related field.
• Experience in field trials, crop production or related fieldwork.
• Strong understanding of crop husbandry and agronomic practices.
• Experience planning and coordinating operational activities.
• Excellent data recording and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Full UK driving licence or travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver agricultural field trials across multiple crops.
• Plan and manage trial activities from establishment to harvest.
• Collaborate with breeders, agronomists and commercial teams to generate data.
• Travel between trial locations during the growing season.
• Adopt new technologies and support continuous improvement of trials.
