Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure or solutions engineering.
• Ability to obtain/maintain the required level of security clearance.
• Experience in global enterprise environments.
• Self-starter with ownership of projects and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Problem-solving with proactive issue resolution and attention to detail.
• Expertise in VDI technologies and user profile management (Omnissa Horizon).
• Experience with Nutanix HCI and Dell Wyse/Dell thin clients.
• Desktop image development for Windows 11 and Ubuntu desktop gold images.
• Solid background in virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or other automation tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016-2022.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise day-to-day operations of the on-premises VDI environment.
• Lead migration and enhancement projects to next-generation technologies.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Service Delivery, and third-party vendors.
• Ensure compliance and security of the VDI environment.
• Oversee incident management and change workflows.
• Monitor, maintain, and upgrade core infrastructure including servers, networks, and systems.
• Deliver strategic projects to improve IT services and efficiency.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans.
• Keep abreast of technology advances and advise on new solutions.
