Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking a VAT Manager for our Gatwick office. You will be the main contact for VAT issues and advise clients on complex UK and European indirect tax matters, while supporting junior staff and collaborating with other tax teams.

The role offers exposure to strategic client development and marketing initiatives within an expanding firm, with a path toward Senior Manager status for qualified individuals.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience specifically within VAT or Indirect Tax.
• On track to Senior Manager status is preferred.
• Strong technical skills with a client-facing approach.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for VAT issues for clients.
• Advise on UK and European indirect tax matters in clear terms.
• Support VAT executives with compliance work and cross-team collaboration.
• Develop new client relationships and network across Sussex and the London market.
• Collaborate with other tax teams and keep the VAT Director and Partners updated on developments.

Job description

Are you a VAT specialist looking for your next challenge where you will be more interactive with your clients? An exciting opportunity has just arisen with a top firm who are seeking a VAT Manager in their expanding and modern Gatwick office.

Working within a team of 10 VAT Specialists you will become the main point of contact for VAT issues and will be a key advisor on behalf of the entire firm breaking down highly technical UK and European indirect tax issues in layman's terms.

As part of the VAT team you will support the less experienced VAT executives with their compliance work and will work across the other tax teams as well as keeping the VAT Director and Partner abreast on any developments with new clients.

You will also gain the opportunity to take an active involvement in prospecting new clients and networking throughout Sussex and the wider London market to attract new clients as well as embarking on some exciting new marketing initiatives.

To be considered for this rare opportunity which is paying above market rate salary bandings, you will have acquired at least 3 years' experience specifically within VAT or Indirect Tax and preferably on your way to making Senior Manager status.

You will have strong technical skills supported by an approachable and friendly manner regarding your client handling skills.
