Physiotherapy Department - Frimley Park Hospital
Static band 6 vascular physiotherapist, 37.5 hours a week- including a rostered weekend service.
We are seeking a well-motivated and forward thinking physiotherapist to join our busy vascular team at Frimley Park Hospital.
Under the guidance of the Band 7 clinical specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop both clinically and managerially within a friendly and supportive environment where excellence is encouraged. The Physiotherapy department has proactively changed its approach to rehabilitation within the acute setting and we are looking for the right candidate to help develop our service and to promote the role of Physiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible as an autonomous practitioner, to undertake a significant clinical caseload on the vascular wards and out-patients. You will demonstrate a high level of knowledge of vascular conditions and be able to assess and treat complex patients. You will maintain a high level of clinical care using evidence based practices and evaluate the outcomes.
As a senior clinician you will be involved in the supervision, education and appraisal of physiotherapists, support staff and students and you will have the opportunity to lead and be involved in appropriate service development. CPD opportunities to develop these skills will be available as part of your appraisal process.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- To provide a high standard physiotherapy service in assessing and treating patients who may have a complex presentation.
- To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists/technicians/assistants and students and be involved in teaching MDT staff.
- To participate in CPD and other departmental activities.
- To demonstrate a high level of communication with internal and external agencies to aid patient flow through the hospital
Person specification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- to have worked as a band 5 physiotherapist on vascular wards
- HCPC Registration
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
Experience
Essential criteria
- To have experience of supervising staff
- Completion of Band 5 rotations
Desirable criteria
- to have completed student supervision course
