Job summary

Volvo Group Bellshill is recruiting a skilled LCV Technician to service, repair and maintain vans, including EV and ICE models. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults with advanced tools, and prepare vehicles for MOTs while meeting stringent safety and regulatory standards.

You will work with a close-knit workshop team, holding a Level 3 NVQ in light/heavy vehicle maintenance and a valid UK driving licence. An HGV licence would help you progress.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Level 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK driving licence is essential; an HGV licence would be an advantage.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across vans including EV/ICE models.
• Diagnose faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for MOTs and conduct safety inspections.
• Work to high standards meeting manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with Shift Supervisor on job specs and timelines; complete paperwork.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays)
Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate

We are expanding our Light Commercial Vehicle workshop team. You will be joining a close knit team of a Workshop Controller, two Technicians and an Apprentice.

You are a skilled and experienced technician with a background in servicing, repairing, and maintaining vans in a commercial vehicle environment.

You hold either:

A Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

• You have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, take initiative in your work, and thrive as part of a team.
• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential. An HGV licence would be an advantage or something you’re willing to work towards with our support.

What will you do as an LCV Technician?

As part of our dedicated Light Commercial Vehicle team, you will carry out high-quality servicing and repairs across a range of vehicles, including both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Diagnosing faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology
• Preparing vehicles for MOTs and conducting thorough safety inspections
• Working to high standards that meet or exceed both manufacturer and VOSA requirements
• Communicating effectively with the Shift Supervisor to ensure clarity on job specifications and timeframesCompleting all required documentation and following company processes
