Job summary

Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative in Reading. The role splits 50/50 between driving and warehouse tasks, delivering to customers and picking orders, with a mix of early starts and a 7:00am–4:00pm schedule, Monday to Friday.

Ideal candidates hold a full UK driving licence (3 points max) and have multi-drop experience, a hardworking, proactive attitude, and the ability to prioritise duties. Electrical wholesale experience is a plus.

Van Driver/Warehouse Operative

Van Driver/Warehouse Operative. A Reading based electrical wholesale firm are looking for a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join the team.

The Van Driver/Warehouse Operative role will suit an experienced driver and offers the potential to build a career in the electrical wholesale industry with a leading wholesaler. The Van Driver/Warehouse Operative role is split 50/50 between driving and warehouse duties. Around half of the role will be spent on the road making deliveries, with the remaining time in the warehouse locating and picking orders, logging goods in and out, and carrying out general warehouse duties.

The Van Driver/Warehouse Operative will work 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime. There may also be the occasional earlier start at 5:00am (earlier finish), so our client needs someone with flexibility on this.

The Van Driver/Warehouse Operative responsibilities include:

• Delivering goods and building relationships with customers.
• Planning delivery routes.
• Picking orders/loading van.
• Any other associated warehouse duties.

The Van Driver/Warehouse Operative will need:

• You must hold a full UK driver's licence.
• 3 points maximum
• Multi-drop experience
• Be hard working with a "can do" attitude.
• Able to prioritise your duties accordingly.
• Electrical wholesale experience is an advantage but not essential for the right candidate
