Job summary

Greencore Stonehouse distribution depot is seeking a driver to join our nationwide delivery team. The role involves early starts from 4am, delivering fresh stock to convenience retailers and forecourts, and working five days per week including Saturdays.

Training is provided, with progression opportunities available. You will handle loading orders, ensure accuracy of deliveries with notes, and comply with health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving license held for at least six months with a maximum of 6 points.
• Van driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Load customer orders from warehouse to van and ensure orders match delivery notes.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with health and safety/driving laws.
• Prioritise safety and efficient route planning for 31 routes across the depot.

ShiftTimes:4am Start Time

Shift Pattern:Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Pay Rate:£13.60 per hour (+ £1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am)

Overtime:Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

Workload:On average between 20-30 drops per day

All routes are planned in at 8 to 12 hours long.

Stonehouse:

A distribution depot serving convenience retailers and forecourts in the region. The depot operates a fleet of 21 vehicles on 31 routes.

What you’ll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatorySaturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience :

• Loading Customer orders from Warehouse to your Van
• Ensuring all orders correct with delivery notes
• Delivering customer order in correct manner
• Following Health and safety and driving laws
• Ensuring all trays are stacked neatly in van and empty tray from customers
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in vans/areas at all times
• Ensuring all PPE issued is worn at all times

What we’re looking for:

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to have afull UK driving licenseheld for at least six months with amaximum of 6points. Van driving experience is preffered.
