Job summary

Greencore Group is recruiting for a driver at our Tamworth depot. Expect a 4am start, steady daily deliveries across our UK network, and a rolling rest day. You will join a busy operation delivering 3.5 million deliveries annually, supporting our nationwide supply chain and keeping Britain fed.

The role requires a full UK driving license, a willingness to work Saturdays, and a physically active workload with on-the-job training and clear progression paths within Greencore.

Qualifications

• Being great with people is essential.
• Hold a full UK driving license for at least six months.
• Be comfortable with loading/unloading and physically demanding work.
• Maintain road safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of food products to stores as part of a nationwide team.
• Work five days per week including mandatory Saturdays; no Sunday work.
• On-the-job training with a buddy; progression opportunities available.

Job description

ShiftTimes: 4am Start Time

Pay Rate:£14.20 per hour (+ £1.15 between 10pm and 6am, + £1.15 for Saturday Work)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Workload: Between 20-30 drops per day

Overtime:Overtime Premium are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

All routes are planned in with a run time between 8 to 12 hours long.

Tamworth:

Tamworth is a large picking depot and one of the busiest and most complexed in the area. The depot serves the major convenience retailers in the region and makes over 2000 deliveries per day.

What you’ll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatory Saturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. What we’re looking for:

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to:

• Have afull UK driving license, held for at least six months
• Practice Road safety at all times
• Have 6 months van driving experience
• Be comfortable loading and unloading your vehicle and physically demanding work
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving license
