Job summary

Greencore is seeking a Driver at Tamworth to join our nationwide team. Start times are between 11am and 2pm, with a base pay of £14.20 per hour. Premiums apply for night hours (£1.15) and Sunday work (£1.15). The role runs Sunday to Friday with a rolling rest day and 20–30 drops per day.

Overtime is paid after 42 hours at time and a quarter. All routes are planned with runtimes of 8–12 hours. Training is provided on site and progression opportunities exist within Greencore.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least six months.
• Road safety at all times.
• Six months van driving experience.
• Comfortable loading and unloading the vehicle.
• No more than 6 points on driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Be part of Greencore's nationwide team delivering goods, helping to ensure around 3.5 million deliveries each year.
• Work five days per week, including Sundays, with a rotating day off and no Saturday work.
• Receive on-the-job training and be paired with another driver initially.

Tamworth:

Tamworth is a large picking depot and one of the busiest and most complexed in the area. The depot serves the major convenience retailers in the region and makes over 2000 deliveries per day.

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatorySundays. With this shift pattern there will be no Saturday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. What we’re looking for:

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to:

• Have afull UK driving license, held for at least six months
• Practice Road safety at all times
• Have 6 months van driving experience
• Be comfortable loading and unloading your vehicle and physically demanding work
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving license
