Job summary

Greencore is recruiting a delivery driver at our Peterborough distribution depot. You will join a nationwide team delivering fresh stock daily to convenience retailers and forecourts, with a shift starting at 4am and a pattern Monday to Saturday including rolling rest days.

You will drive a full UK licence held at least six months with up to six points, earn £13.90 per hour plus £1.15 for night hours, and benefit from overtime premiums after 42 hours.

• Deliver a high volume of stock to convenience retailers and forecourts across the region.
• Be part of Greencore's nationwide driver team, contributing to around 3.5 million deliveries per year.
• Shift pattern includes a 4am start, five days per week with Saturdays on duty; Sundays off on rotation.

Shift Time: 4am Start Time

Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Pay Rate: £13.90 Per Hour (+ £1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am)

Overtime: Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

Workload: On average between 20/30 drops per day

Routes are planned in with a run time of 8 to 12 hours long.

Peterborough:

A distribution depot serving convenience retailers and forecourts in the region. The depot operates a fleet of 26 vehicles on 30 routes.

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed. You would be expected to work five days per week, which would include mandatory Saturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation. On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with.
