Job summary

The Best Connection in Wakefield is recruiting professional Van Drivers to join a busy operation. You will deliver to stores and Regional Service Centres, representing a trusted brand while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Start times from 06:00–08:00 with days rate £13.35/h and nights £16.02/h, plus overtime up to £24.04/h. Ongoing work through 2026 with flexible shifts and online payslips.

Qualifications

• Valid Category B (Van) licence.
• Must be comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service.

Responsibilities

Looking for a reliable driving role with great pay, flexibility, and long-term opportunity? The Best Connection is recruiting professional Van Drivers to join a busy and well-established operation based in WF9.

With a mix of local store deliveries and nationwide routes, this is a fantastic opportunity for drivers who enjoy variety and being on the road.

The Role

You'll be delivering to stores and Regional Service Centres (RSCs), representing a trusted brand while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

• 5-10 drops per day to stores within a 150-mile radius
• Collections from suppliers on return to depot
• Manual handling + use of scanners to confirm deliveries
• Start times between 06:00 - 08:00
• Days (06:00-22:00): £13.35 per hour
• Nights (22:00-06:00): £16.02 per hour
• Overtime paid at up to £24.04 per hour
• Holiday pay accrual

Training & Development

We set you up for success from day one:

• Driving assessment + theory (Highway Code & drivers' hours)
• 3-day paid induction
• 2 days buddying with experienced drivers
• Assessments: asap
• Induction: w/c 21st September
• Candidates must be available for all dates of induction
