Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for a Van Delivery Driver (Multi-Drop) in South Ockendon. This full-time, ongoing (temp to perm) role involves delivering clothing and retail parcels to high street stores and RDCs across a 7-day operation.

Flexible day and night shifts start 05:45–08:00, with full induction and driving assessment provided. You will carry out vehicle checks, record PODs, and shadow a full-time driver before going solo.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (Cat B) required.
• Minimum 2 years van driving experience.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to 6-10 retail stores or RDCs per shift.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Offloading goods safely at each delivery point.
• Recording Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately.

About the Role:

The Best Connection Dartford are currently recruiting for experienced Van Delivery Drivers on behalf of one of the UK's largest retail and logistics companies. This is a fantastic opportunity for long-term, ongoing work with immediate starts available.

You'll be delivering clothing and retail parcels to high street stores and regional distribution centres (RDCs) Some manual handling required.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Delivering to 6-10 retail stores or RDCs per shift
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Offloading goods safely at each delivery point
• Recording Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately
• Communicating effectively with the transport team
• Shadowing a full-time driver before starting solo routes

Shift & Pay Details:

Day Rates:

• Basic (up to 45 hours/week): £14.82 per hour
• Overtime (after 45 hours/week): £22.23 per hour

Bank Holidays: £22.23 per hour

Minimum 5 hours paid per shift (even if finish early!)

What We're Looking For:

Full UK Driving Licence (Cat B - Van Licence)

Minimum 2 years' Van Driving experience

Previous multi-drop experience

Must be able to work weekends as part of rota

Reliable, physically fit, and good communication skills
