Job summary

The Best Connection Dartford are currently recruiting for experienced Van Delivery Drivers on behalf of one of the UK's largest retail and logistics companies. This is a fantastic opportunity for long-term, ongoing work with immediate starts available.

You'll be delivering clothing and retail parcels to high street stores and regional distribution centres (RDCs). Some manual handling required, with vehicle checks and POD recording, plus strong communication with the transport team.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (Cat B)
• Minimum 2 years' van driving experience
• Must be able to work weekends as part of rota
• Reliable, physically fit and good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Delivering to 6-10 retail stores or RDCs per shift
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Offloading goods safely at each delivery point
• Recording Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately

7-Day Operation (Flexible Schedule - Must Be Able to Work Weekends)

About the Role:

What You'll Be Doing:

Delivering to 6-10 retail stores or RDCs per shift

Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects

Offloading goods safely at each delivery point

Shadowing a full-time driver before starting solo routes

Day Rates:

Basic (up to 45 hours/week):

£14.82 per hour (Enhanced to 17.78 for hours after 10pm)

Overtime (after 45 hours/week):

£22.23 per hour

Bank Holidays:

£22.23 per hour

Minimum 5 hours paid per shift (even if finish early!)

What We're Looking For:

Full UK Driving Licence (Cat B - Van Licence)

Minimum 2 years' Van Driving experience

Previous

Must be able to work weekends as part of rota

Reliable, physically fit, and good communication skills
