Matthew James Recruitment is partnering with a well-established delivery business to recruit an experienced Multi-Drop Driver for their Tamworth operation. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and Monday to Friday working hours, with scope for overtime and long-term progression.

As a Courier Driver you will deliver to commercial and residential customers across your route, load and unload safely, complete deliveries with proof of delivery, and maintain vehicle and paperwork

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a Multi-Drop Driver.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
• Strong geographic knowledge of local area.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Physically fit to load/unload deliveries as required.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-drop deliveries to commercial and residential customers on your designated route.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Plan and manage delivery routes for efficiency.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Obtain proof of delivery using handheld devices.
• Provide professional, courteous service to customers.
• Comply with road transport legislation and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and vehicle records.

The Role

As a Courier Driver/Multi Drop Van Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to commercial and residential customers across your designated route.

Your duties will include:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries across the local and regional area.
• Loading and unloading your vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects.
• Planning and managing your delivery route to maximise efficiency.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Obtaining proof of delivery using handheld devices.

• Complying with all road transport legislation, health & safety requirements and company procedures.

What We're Looking For
