Job summary

Flexible People is recruiting a 3.5T Van Driver for Basildon and surrounding areas. The role involves around 40–50 drops daily, delivering to hospitality and business customers with a focus on service and timeliness.

You will start early, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work. A full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required; multi-drop experience is preferred. Temp-to-perm opportunity with a supportive team.

3.5T Van Driver - Atherton- Real Living Wage

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable 3.5T Van Drivers to join our client's busy delivery operation in and around Basildon. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for a 3.5T Van Driver who enjoys being on the road, providing excellent customer service, and working as part of a professional team.

Location: Basildon

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Hours: Monday to Friday, starting between 05.00am to 06.00am - No Weekends

The Role

As a 3.5T Van Driver, you will be responsible for completing approximately 40-50 multi-drop deliveries per day to hospitality and business customers in and around Basildon.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 3.5T van to complete daily multi-drop deliveries.
• Load your vehicle each morning, ensuring goods are secure and handled with care.
• Deliver orders to hospitality and business customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service on every delivery.
• Keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy, reporting any defects promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and within agreed timescales.

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the area and the surrounding areas.
• To be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• A reliable, punctual and customer-focused approach.
• A smart and professional appearance.
