Job summary

Driver Hire is the UK’s largest specialist logistics recruiter, connecting drivers to organisations across the UK. Van Drivers 3.5T in the Basildon and Southend area offer temporary ongoing work with start times between 6am and 8am, paid at a minimum of £13.68 per hour (including holiday pay).

This role requires a full UK driving licence with up to six penalty points, and a capable team player who can also work independently; Hi Vis vest and safety boots are required, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• > Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• > Previous van driving experience desirable.
• > Good time-management and able to work on your own or as part of a team.
• > Hi Vis vest and Steel toe cap safety boots required.
• > Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Completing deliveries (reasonable daily number of drops).
• Loading and unloading your van as required.
• Completing paperwork accurately.
• Good timesheets administration.
• Completing a daily vehicle walk around check.
• Keeping the van in good condition.

• Completing deliveries (reasonable daily number of drops)
• Loading and unloading your van as required
• Completing Paperwork
• Good timesheets administration
• Completing a daily vehicle walk around check
• Keeping the van in good condition

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience of working as a Van Driver – desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Team player who is also capable of working on your own
• Excellent time-management
• Good inter-personal and organisational skills
• Possession of Hi Vis vest and Steel toe cap safety boots
