Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Ltd in Aberystwyth is hiring a Van Driver to support our busy delivery operation. You will transport goods to customer sites and help with branch and yard tasks as needed.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence and delivery experience; safety, accuracy, and a courteous, helpful approach when dealing with customers are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence.
• Previous van driving or delivery experience (preferred).
• A professional, polite, and helpful attitude with customers.
• A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer care.
• Willingness to assist in the yard and warehouse when not driving.
• Forklift licence (desirable, or willingness to train).

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate records.
• Safely load, secure and unload goods.
• Deliver products professionally and efficiently to customer sites.
• Assist customers and provide product support when required.
• Support the branch team in preparing deliveries, serving customers, and managing stock.
• Follow all health & safety, driving, and company procedures.

Van Driver

Location: Aberystwyth

We’re on the lookout for a reliable and customer focused Van Driver to join our busy and friendly team at our AberystwythBranch. If you're an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service and working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Van Driver, you'll play a key role in our delivery operations — safely transporting goods to customers while ensuring excellent service and maintaining high standards on and off the road. When not driving, you’ll also support branch and yard operations to help everything run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate records.
• Safely load, secure and unload goods.
• Deliver products professionally and efficiently to customer sites.
• Assist customers and provide product support when required.
• Support the branch team in preparing deliveries, serving customers, and managing stock.
• Follow all health & safety, driving, and company procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid UK driving licence.
• Previous van driving or delivery experience (preferred).
• A professional, polite, and helpful attitude with customers.

Hours of Work: An average of 40.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.30am – 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00am until 12.00pm.
