Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting van bulk courier multi-drop drivers for bulk collection or bulk delivery work, starting with a training day on or around 6th November and continuing from 9th November. You will work five days out of seven, starting at 07:00, loading your van and scanning parcels with a smartphone to generate a delivery route.

DBS checks may be required for longer assignments. Applicants must hold a UK driving licence for over a year, be over 21, have no more than

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK driving licence for more than 1 year.
• Must be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• No more than 6 minor points on licence.
• No DR, DD or CD endorsements.
• Must have previous multi-drop courier experience.
• Must have a smartphone with NFC functionality.
• Must be prepared to undergo historic referencing for the last 2 years.
• Must be prepared to apply for a DBS check if assignment reaches 13 weeks.
• Must be prepared to work weekends if requested.

Responsibilities

• Load van and scan each parcel with a smartphone as you load.
• Follow the most efficient route and deliver or collect parcels as required.
• Deliveries/collections to assigned areas with possible occasional reassignment.

VAN BULK COLLECTION OR DELIVERY COURIER DRIVER

The Best Connection are an Employment Business recruiting for this role on behalf of our client.

Our client is one of the UK's largest commercial Geopost businesses and operate a depot near Upper Poppleton, YO26.

In anticipation of their annual peak cover we require VAN BULK COURIER MULTI DROP DRIVERS for either Bulk Collection work or Bulk Delivery cover, to start on a training day on 6

th November and start the work on Monday 9

th November.

You must meet certain criteria in order to apply for this role,

THE CRITERIA IS :

• MUST HAVE A UK LICENCE HELD FOR MORE THAN 1 YEAR.
• MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.
• NO MORE THAN 6 MINOR POINTS.
• NO DR, DD OR CD ENDORSEMENTS.
• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS MULTI DROP COURIER EXPERIENCE.
• MUST HAVE A SMART PHONE WITH NFC FUNCTION.
• MUST BE PREPARED TO FULFIL HISTORIC REFERENCING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS
• MUST BE PREPARED TO APPLY FOR A DBS CHECK IF THE ASSIGNMENT REACHES 13 WEEKS
• MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK WEEKENDS IF REQUESTED TO DO SO

The role will require the van courier driver to work any 5 days out of 7 and start work at 07.00 in the morning and load their van scanning each parcel/package with their smart phone as they load. The smart phone app will then work out the most efficient delivery route & order for the parcels on the van. The driver must then follow this route making the deliveries or collections as required. Drivers will be kept on the same routes as much as possible but may be requested to cover other areas if the business needs this.
