Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking experienced Van Drivers in Team Valley for an ongoing, long-term position with a major national delivery network.

Shifts are 12 hours, on a 4 on/4 off rota starting between 07:00 and 08:00. You will undertake multi-drop deliveries, scan items, and ensure on-time performance with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Hold a UK Category B driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• No DD, DR or IN codes on your licence.
• Prior multi-drop delivery experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the North East and local area.
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and a 4 on, 4 off rota.
• Physically fit and able to work independently with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop parcel deliveries across the local area.
• Deliver a high volume of parcels safely and efficiently.
• Scan items and manage electronic delivery manifests.
• Ensure all parcels are delivered accurately and on time.
• Follow planned delivery routes and meet service targets.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain high safety and customer-service standards while working independently.

The Best Connection is currently seeking experienced Van Drivers for an ongoing, long-term opportunity with one of our prestigious logistics clients based in Team Valley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable drivers looking for long-term, consistent work with a major national delivery network, offering an attractive 4 on, 4 off shift pattern and 12-hour shifts.

With regular hours and a structured rota, this role is ideal for drivers looking for a predictable working pattern and the opportunity to secure ongoing employment.

The Role

• Working a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern
• 12-hour shifts
• Start times between 07:00 and 08:00
• Completing multi-drop parcel deliveries across the local area
• Delivering a high volume of parcels safely and efficiently
• Scanning items and managing electronic delivery manifests
• Ensuring all parcels are delivered accurately, safely and on time
• Following planned delivery routes and meeting service targets
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Working independently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold a valid UK Category B (Car) Driving Licence
• Have no more than 6 points for minor driving offences
• No DD, DR or IN codes
• Have previous multi-drop delivery experience (highly desirable)
• Have good geographical knowledge of the North East
• Be comfortable working 12-hour shifts
• Be reliable and committed to the 4 on, 4 off rota
• Be physically fit enough to undertake a busy multi-drop delivery role
• Have excellent time management and customer service skills
• Be professional, safety-conscious and able to work independently

Pay & Benefits
