Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting for VAN BULK COURIER MULTI DROP DRIVERS to support bulk collection or bulk delivery, with a training day on 6 November and work commencing on 9 November. The role is based at a depot near Upper Poppleton, YO26 and requires 5 days out of 7 starting at 07:00.

You will load the van, scan each parcel with a smartphone, and follow the app-generated route for deliveries or collections.

Qualifications

• Must have UK driving licence held for over 1 year.
• Must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
• No more than 6 minor points on licence.
• No DR, DD or CD endorsements.
• Must have previous multi-drop courier experience.
• Must have a smartphone with NFC function.
• Must be prepared to meet historic referencing requirements for last 2 years.
• Must be prepared to apply for a DBS check if the assignment reaches 13 weeks.
• Must be prepared to work weekends if requested.

Responsibilities

• Work 5 days out of 7, starting at 07:00, loading and scanning parcels with the smartphone.
• Smartphone app determines the most efficient route and order for deliveries or collections.
• Follow the route and perform deliveries or collections as required; routes may vary by business need.

VAN BULK COLLECTION OR DELIVERY COURIER DRIVER

The Best Connection are an Employment Business recruiting for this role on behalf of our client.

Our client is one of the UK's largest commercial Geopost businesses and operate a depot near Upper Poppleton, YO26.

In anticipation of their annual peak cover we require VAN BULK COURIER MULTI DROP DRIVERS for either Bulk Collection work or Bulk Delivery cover, to start on a training day on 6th November and start the work on Monday 9th November.

You must meet certain criteria in order to apply for this role,

THE CRITERIA IS :

• MUST HAVE A UK LICENCE HELD FOR MORE THAN 1 YEAR.
• MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.
• NO MORE THAN 6 MINOR POINTS.
• NO DR, DD OR CD ENDORSEMENTS.
• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS MULTI DROP COURIER EXPERIENCE.
• MUST HAVE A SMART PHONE WITH NFC FUNCTION.
• MUST BE PREPARED TO FULFIL HISTORIC REFERENCING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS
• MUST BE PREPARED TO APPLY FOR A DBS CHECK IF THE ASSIGNMENT REACHES 13 WEEKS
• MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK WEEKENDS IF REQUESTED TO DO SO

The role will require the van courier driver to work any 5 days out of 7 and start work at 07.00 in the morning and load their van scanning each parcel/package with their smart phone as they load. The smart phone app will then work out the most efficient delivery route & order for the parcels on the van. The driver must then follow this route making the deliveries or collections as required. Drivers will be kept on the same routes as much as possible but may be requested to cover other areas if the business needs this.

PAY : £ 12.71 PER HOUR
