Job summary

Acorn Limited is seeking a Van Mobile Building Services Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial client sites across Birmingham and surrounding areas. This mobile role involves traveling in a company van to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of building services systems.

You will perform PPM, fault finding, servicing and repairs, working with a dedicated helpdesk while autonomously managing daily workload.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of M&E building services.
• Experience with HVAC plant including air conditioning, boilers, controls, heating and ventilation.
• Time-served mechanical or maintenance engineer, apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive repairs across assigned sites.
• Attend call-outs during normal working hours and participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with internal helpdesk and administration teams.
• Accurately complete reports, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Maintain log books and site records.
• Ensure punctual attendance, professional presentation and correct use of PPE.
