Job summary

Acorn Limited in London is seeking a Building Services Engineer to perform planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), servicing and reactive repairs across a varied portfolio of client sites in South and south East London. You will work independently but with support from a dedicated helpdesk and contract management team.

The role offers 41.25 hours per week, overtime and callout opportunities, a company van and fuel card, 25 days holiday, and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Time-served maintenance engineer (apprenticeship preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, servicing and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
• Respond to call-outs during normal working hours and participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota.
• Communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Liaise with the internal helpdesk and administration teams.
• Maintain accurate job reports, log books and documentation.
• Keep Contracts Managers informed of job progress and site issues.
