Job summary

Novanta Robotics & Automation Cambridge is seeking a technically curious V&V Technician to join the team. You will design and execute tests to verify performance, reliability and compliance for inductive encoders, working closely with R&D, manufacturing and quality.

You will conduct performance, environmental and reliability tests, build test fixtures, troubleshoot hardware, and analyse data while supporting verification and validation activities with external labs.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or apprenticeship in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with electrical/electronic or electromechanical products.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in an R&D or engineering environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Hands-on approach with a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

Validation and Verification Technician (V&V Technician) Cambridge | Novanta Robotics & Automation

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a technically curious and hands‑on V&V Technician to join our Inductive Encoders team in Cambridge.

Working closely with engineers across R&D, manufacturing and quality, you will help bring new products to life by designing and executing test activities that verify performance, reliability and compliance.

What you will be doing:

Desirable experience:
