Job summary

Sussex Community Trust Immunisation Service is seeking an Immunisation Programme Assistant (Chichester) to join a busy team. The role is part-time (three days per week), term-time only, with 42 weeks per year and core hours 8am-4pm, plus rota-based Saturday sessions as needed.

You will support clinics and school immunisation sessions, handle documentation, and assist nurses and administrators with a flexible, varied role across Sussex.

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education (5 GCSEs including English & Maths or equivalent).
• Care Certificate.
• RSA3 / NVQ3 in administration or related subject or equivalent experience gained through practice.
• ECDL or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook; IT skills vital for online consent processes.
• Fulfil reception duties at clinics and be the first point of contact for patients and families, with clear telephone manner.
• Assist with running vaccination sessions and clinics and accurately process completed session paperwork.
• Provide reassurance to children during vaccination and support the team to maintain high vaccination coverage across Sussex.
