Job summary

Caralex Recruitment Limited has been asked to recruit a Utility Manager for a well-respected construction company based in Berkshire. The role will entail taking the lead on all utility matters, from feasibility work and disconnections, through to the design and installation of new connections.

You will also be responsible for managing relationships with utility providers, monitoring progress and ensuring design and working drawings are efficiently managed and organised.

Qualifications

• Experience linking utilities and construction preferred.
• Background working with utility providers or new connections department is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead on all utility matters from feasibility to disconnections and from design to installation of new connections.
• Manage relationships with utility providers and monitor progress to ensure drawings are organised.
• Coordinate between sites and head office; attend project meetings and travel as required.

Caralex Recruitment Limited has been asked to recruit a Utility Manager for a well-respected construction company based in Berkshire.

The role will entail taking the lead on all utility matters, from feasibility work and disconnections, through to the design and installation of new connections. It will also involve managing new and existing relationships with various utility providers, monitoring progress made and ensuring design & working drawings are efficiently managed and organised.

You will have previously worked in a role that links utilities and construction, such as working for a utilities provider in a Technical Coordinator role or within a new connections department, or working directly for a construction company liaising with utilities companies, or for a utilities design consultancy.

The role will suit someone process driven, who is logical and able to prioritise their work in the right order to make progress.

As the role is for a construction company, driving between sites and attending project meetings is expected, as well as working from the head office.
