Job summary

Th Recruit is seeking a Utilities Manager in Warrington to oversee utility connections and service installations from inception to completion. You will manage quotations, diversions, meters and program timings, liaising with utility providers, statutory authorities and internal teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of utilities legislation and the processes for service connections in the housebuilding or residential development sector, plus strong communication and risk-management skills to

Qualifications

• Experience in utilities within housebuilding or residential development.
• Knowledge of utilities legislation and service connection processes.
• Experience securing POCs, service diversions and utilities for new developments.
• Strong understanding of technical aspects of utility service delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness, organised and resilient, with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage utility connections and service installations from inception to completion.
• Obtain quotations and ensure utility orders are placed and progressed in line with programme.
• Develop and communicate project utility programmes.
• Manage applications, POCs, diversions, meters and service connections.
• Liaise with utility providers, statutory authorities, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support commercial teams with procurement, quotations, scopes and payment applications.
• Review services designs and ensure technical queries are resolved.
• Ensure all required certification, testing and commissioning is completed.
• Support site teams in securing temporary power and water.
• Identify and manage contractual, financial, technical and operational risks.
• Ensure designs and contractor RAMS meet relevant legislation, health & safety requirements and best practice.
