Job summary

Network Plus is hiring a Digging Team for United Utilities in Crooklands. The role involves excavation and civils work, with zero-hours flexibility and day rates of £180–£220.

You will work safely and to a high standard, on utility civils projects, supporting the scheduling team and maintaining accurate records. You'll need a full UK driving licence with towing entitlement, safety qualifications, and the ability to operate around plant and equipment while maintaining professional site standards

Qualifications

• NRSWA Operative qualification required.
• Ability to work under pressure during drilling tasks.
• Experience with deep excavations on civils projects.
• Experience operating mini excavator up to 10 tonnes; larger may help.
• Full UK Driving Licence with towing entitlement for digger transport.
• Safe Dig/Cable Avoidance accreditation; EUSR preferred.
• Competence in Manual Handling practices.
• First Aid knowledge or certification.
• Confined Spaces awareness and procedures.
• Abrasive Wheels training and awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of site safety and welfare.
• Support safe and effective delivery on site using civils knowledge.
• Keep customers and sites tidy, safe, and professional.
• Demonstrate timekeeping, reliability and care for tools and equipment.
• Provide accurate job updates via Modular Plus and relay reinstatement info.
