Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Dumfries is seeking a Used Vehicle Preparation Mechanic to join the BMW/MINI branch. You will inspect, diagnose and service a range of vehicles, preparing them for handover while maintaining high standards and accurate records.

The role requires at least two years’ workshop experience and Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, with opportunities for EV accreditation training and career progression. Competitive salary and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in a vehicle workshop
• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Strong servicing, repairs and diagnostics knowledge

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle inspections and diagnostics
• Recording inspections digitally
• Performing routine servicing and maintenance tasks
• Preparing vehicles for MOT tests and customer handovers
• Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed
