Job summary

DEKRA Automotive is seeking an experienced Area Manager for used passenger cars. The role is field-based across Yorkshire, North East, Midlands and Wales, with a salary of £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience.

It is a full-time, permanent position requiring travel and strong leadership to boost regional performance. You will partner with retailer management to improve sales, analyze data, coach dealership teams, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive retail with used vehicle sales operations.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive actions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with retailer management teams to improve used vehicle sales performance and profitability across your region.
• Analyze key performance data to identify opportunities and develop SMART action plans.
• Coach dealership teams to strengthen capability and embed best practices.
• Monitor compliance with Approved Used standards and retailer requirements.
• Collaborate with brand field teams to maximise retailer performance and commercial success.
