Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Sheerness is recruiting a Used Car Coordinator to support the movement and preparation of vehicles across the site. This workshop-based administration and coordination role requires you to organise workloads, track progress and liaise with workshop teams.

You will identify vehicles ready for inspection, plan workshop sequencing, organise MOTs, update the Customer Management team and oversee inspectors, ensuring a smooth flow of vehicles through the site.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Able to coordinate multiple vehicles and workloads effectively.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Used Car Coordinator to join a busy automotive operation in Sheerness. This is a workshop-based administration and coordination role, supporting the movement and preparation of vehicles across the site.

The successful candidate will be organised, IT literate and confident coordinating vehicles, workloads and teams within a busy automotive environment.

The Role:

As a Used Car Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying vehicles that are ready to be inspected.
• Planning vehicles into the workshop across different areas of the site depending on the work required, including servicing and MOTs.
• Organising vehicle MOTs.
• Updating the Customer Management team on vehicle progress.
• Overseeing a team of vehicle inspectors and allocating workloads and job cards.
• Supporting the smooth flow of vehicles through the workshop.
• Completing general administration and coordination duties as required.

The Person:

• Previous experience in a similar coordination or administration role within an automotive environment is desirable.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Able to coordinate multiple vehicles and workloads effectively.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.
• Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence, held for at least 3 years, with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Must be aged 21 or over due to insurance requirements.
