An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Urology Secretarial / Waiting List Officer to join their dynamic team at Stepping Hill Hospital. In this pivotal role, you will manage waiting lists and provide comprehensive secretarial support to Consultants, ensuring that patients receive timely care in accordance with Trust Access policies. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Urology Secretarial / Waiting List Officer Team based at Stepping Hill Hospital. As a member of the team, you will assist with managing waiting lists for elective surgery and working in accordance with Government Access targets to ensure patients are treated in line with Trust Access policies. You will also provide an effective and efficient Senior Medical Secretary role to named Consultants within the service.
This post is varied and includes contact with patients and many Health Care Professionals.
We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an environment where demands and priorities change quickly. You must be well organised, able to work on your own initiative and demonstrate confidence in independent decision making.
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and effective secretarial, waiting list and administrative service to a Consultant (s) and their medical team.
To administrate waiting lists and organise patient admissions and pre-operative appointments.
To undertake the audio-typing of clinical and non-clinical correspondence within their specialty area.
The post holder will be required to use computerised systems such as Patient Centre, Advantis and the Big Hand Digital dictation system.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation, communication, typing skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
