Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust—Dursley Minor Injury & Illness Unit is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse or AHP/Paramedic to join the team. The role is part time (24 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts) at The Vale MIiU in Dursley.

Ideal candidates will have MIiU/ED or acute care experience. You will triage patients, work with Emergency Practitioners, and contribute to patient-centered care with ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Band 5/Registered Nurse or AHP/Paramedic with appropriate registration is required.
• Evidence of medicines management or PGDs is essential.
• Ongoing professional development / CPD is expected.

Responsibilities

• Triage of patients using Manchester Triage and maintain safety while awaiting assessment.
• Assist Emergency Practitioners with assessment, treatment and discharge planning.
• Support the practitioner in charge with daily planning and service development.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within MIiU, adhering to POPAM and codes of practice.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in mandatory training.
