Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in St Austell is seeking a Developmental/MIU Practitioner to join our Minor Injury Unit at St Austell Hospital. This Band 5/6 developmental post welcomes experienced practitioners and those developing urgent care skills, with autonomous practice at Band 6 level.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration – 1st Level NMC/HCPC
• Professional qualification – NURC 315 or equivalent academically recognised minor injury qualification
• Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations certificate

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting to the MIU with evidence-based care.
• Assess patient needs, plan and implement treatment and management plans.
• Be professionally accountable for clinical practice and deliver safe, patient-centred care.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner services to ensure timely, compassionate care.
