Leaders in Care is seeking a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support patients redirected from A&E into an urgent-care pathway. The role covers Redditch and Worcester, with phlebotomy, ECG and patient observations as core duties within a GP-led service.

You will work across an established team, with three shifts minimum per week, including evenings and weekends; potential to extend after six months. EMIS experience is highly desirable.

Qualificações

• Must have recent HCA experience in general practice, PCN, urgent care, community services or similar.
• Recent phlebotomy/venepuncture competency with formal sign-off.
• Recent ECG recording competency.
• Experience taking clinical observations and providing basic wound care.
• Sound understanding of NEWS2, deterioration and escalation.
• Availability for three or more shifts per week across Redditch and Worcester.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out phlebotomy and venepuncture.
• Complete ECG recordings.
• Take and accurately document full clinical observations.
• Use NEWS2 and recognise deterioration and escalate promptly.
• Provide basic wound care where appropriate.
• Maintain clear electronic patient records.
• Follow infection prevention and safeguarding procedures.
